ATHENS - SANTORINI - CRETE - RHODES

Discover the very best of the Greek Islands on this fifteen day tour around the most noted island in the Aegean Sea. This tour is a wonderful mixture of guided tours, discovering places on your own, ferries to exotic destinations and above all, relaxation.

1st day: ATHENS ARRIVAL TRANSFER

Arrival Athens international Airport - meet and Greet - look for your name being held up in the arrivals hall by our driver/assistance - and transfer to your hotel. When you check in please ask for your envelope - in it are tickets and information please do not loose these - or forget them on the way. Check in is after 12.00 - rest of the day/evening free

2nd day: FULL DAY ATHENS TOUR

Pickup from your hotel for ATHENS SIGHTSEEING with English Guide and entrances to the Acropolis included return to hotel 12.30 - 12.50 You will have time for a snack- so do not be in a rush - relax and enjoy your surroundings. Pick up will be around 14.00 (see your envelope for full notice) and Tour coach will pick you up for the drive along the Athens coast line to Cape Sounion. With the English speaking guide you will hear the sad story surrounding this lovely temple.

Day 3: FLIGHT TO SANTORINI

Breakfast - please check the timetable on your flight tickets ( in the envelope you picked up yesterday. You will have been pre-informed about the pickup time for your flight to Santorini island. The driver will take you to the airport. On arrival in Santorini, look for your name being held up by our assistance staff just at the exit or outside the arrivals area - and you will be whisked off to your hotel.

Day 4: SANTORINI

Breakfast, usually closes about 10.00 - can be served on your balcony or patio, and what a way to start your day. Now you will begin to understand the meaning of "peace".
The day is yours to recover, re-charge your batteries and enjoy.

Day 5: SANTORINI

Breakfast - again to be served on your balcony - and appreciate the pur magnificence of nature specific to this island. Have a swim in the pool, a long drink at the bar, it is your day, take full advantage - there are not many days in a life like this - it is something you will carry with you when you leave Greece.

Day 6: FERRY PASSAGE TO CRETE

Breakfast - usually closes about 10.00 - You will have been pre-informed by our local Santorini office who will have delivered your boat tickets and given the time of your transfer to the port. We have booked you, if possible, on the ferry from Santorini to Crete, this is in order you might take one long look from the sea at the special beauty of this island. On disembarking in Crete you will look for your name once again - and this time your hire car will be waiting. Complete the paper work (hope you remembered your International licence?) and then drive to your hotel. There is a possibility that dinner is included in your stay here. Please check your voucher. If it says Half Board/Full Board or All Inclusive - then dinner is included

Day 7: CRETE

Breakfast - closes usually at about 10.00, thereafter your day is free to roam this big and wonderful island. There is much to discover and to see. Chania must be on your agenda - it is very beautiful. PLEASE drive with care and attention - drinking and driving is very heavily finable and possibly can include prison - it is not worth the risk.
Return to your hotel in time for dinner in the evening if included.

Day 8: CRETE

Breakfast - and off you go once again. The mountains are calling, the beaches need your feet to touch them, the Minoan ruins beg your thoughts and imagination. It is all waiting for you.

Day 9: FLIGHT TO RHODES

Breakfast - (until about 11.00). You have the flight tickets in your possession for the trip Crete to Rhodes. You must be ONE hour before the flight. Check OUT from your hotel before 12.00 and control your day to arrive at the airport timely. Do NOT forget to fill the car with fuel as much as you had when you accepted the delivery. Leave the car at the airport. In case you cannot find the staff to accept the car - do not worry. Park it in the hire car return area and place the keys over the sun-visor. DO NOT LOCK the car please. Take all your belongings - check in and take the flight. In Rhodes, you will find again the car hire people (or check in desk of NATIONAL ALAMO)- pick up your car and drive to your hotel- evening free.

Day 10: RHODES

After breakfast decide what to do with your day. Rhodes has plenty to offer travellers of all kinds. You can take your hire car and drive to a secluded beach, or go inland and discover any one of the many villages in the centre of the island. To the north is the town of Lindos with its remarkable castle that is well worth visiting. You may also choose to stay by the pool at your hotel and relax, maybe straying into the town to find a traditional taverna and enjoy some local wine, ouzo and mezes. You can do as much or as little as you wish on this wonderful island.

Day 11: RHODES

Your second full day on Rhodes can be a time of great adventure. Take your into town, park and wander around the amazing Rhodes Town. Visit the old town, a walled city, with its twelve metre thick walls and maze like streets, the perfect way to while away the hours. After wandering the old town, why not venture into the new part of town, where the restaurants and shopping are as good as anywhere in Greece. After spending the day doing as you please, why not find dinner at one of the many Turkish inspired restaurants nearby and discover the diversity of this large island.

Day 12: FLIGHT TO ATHENS

Breakfast and check out of your room before 12.00.
You have the air tickets - so arrange to return the car (DON'T forget to fill the car with fuel as you received it) and put it in the appropriate car hire return area. Leave the keys at the National Alamo desk in the main hall and check in to your flight to Athens. On arrival in Athens collect your luggage and see again our assistance waiting to collect you and take you to the hotel.

Day 13: DAY DELPHI TOUR

Breakfast 07.15 and at about 08.00 the luxury coach will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Delphi. Lunch is included. The guide will inform you along the way how important this site is in Greek history. Don't miss the museum in Delphi - it is really excellent.
You will return you to your hotel about 20.00 - evening free.

Day 14: ATHENS

Today is your last full day in Greece and it is up to you what you do. It's a great day to catch up on that last minute shopping, or take the underground down the Piraeus and watch the ferries come in and out. You can walk up to the Acropolis and once again visit this incredible site, taking your time over all of the ruins. Another wonderful place to spend some time is the National Archaeological Museum where you can see Greek antiquities from all ages. In the evening, make sure you find yourself in a wonderful restaurant to say a decent goodbye to your vacation.

Day 15: RANSFER TO AIRPORT, FLIGHT BACK HOME

This is your last morning in Greece. All that is required of you today is to have your breakfast, check out and have our transfer driver take you to the airport so you can take your flight home. If your flight is later in the day, ensure that you have made arrangements for a late check out.
